Blurred images can happen for a number of reasons, such as a smudged lens, movement while shooting, or the object being out of focus. There are a few things you can do to give the appearance of a crisper object and/or overall photo.
The illusion of a crisper object can be lent simply by intentionally blurring the surrounding area. Also, lighting adjustments, such as shifting the image to a higher contrast can do wonders. (Layer – New Adjustment Layer – Exposure – Gamma Correction) The Clone Stamp Tool is going to provide the most dramatic sharpening effect. Use the surrounding material to redraw the lines. Lastly, use your Smudge tool to smooth the re-drawn lines and the Sharpen Tool along the lines afterward, for a finishing touch.
